The team

Division commissioner: Ruth Pearson

My name is Ruth Pearson and I am the Division commissioner. This means I mange the volunteers who deliver Guiding in this area. My focus in on supporting leaders to be able to deliver the best post experience to our girls while having a great time themselves. I am supported by a great team who you can find out about below. Division Treasurer: Holly Mitchell

I’m Holly Mitchell, Treasurer for Ramsden Division. I’ve been in role for 16 years and primarily manage the division finances and reporting to the Charities Commission, in addition to seeking out opportunities to support the division through grants and donations. I also support units and leaders in managing and recording unit financial resources when needed, because the role of a leader should be to make Guiding fun – I’m happy to help make the admin a bit easier if I can!

Public Relations Adviser: Jill Webb

Hi there, my name is Jill Webb. I’ve been a volunteer in Ramsden division for a number of years. I really enjoy working with a girls and volunteers. My current role in the division is public relations adviser which means that I support with all things website, Facebook and Twitter.  I also support with recruitment of volunteers and young members so we’re always keen to hear from you if you’d to join us!

Brown Owl: Victoria Daker

Hey, my name is Victoria Daker. I’ve been a Rainbow, Brownie, Guide, Young Leader and adult leader and currently I am Brown Owl for a thriving Lindley unit and secretary to our wonderful division. I’ve always loved being part of the girl guiding family. In my role, I support our division commissioner in attending meetings and then writing up minutes; other admin duties and supporting our exec.

Programme Advisers: Caroline Pearson and Sarah Hutton

Our names are Caroline Pearson and Sarah Hutton. We are currently programme advisers in Ramsden Division. We support the Division Commissioner in her role and are here to support the units across the Division. Between us we have over 60 year’s experience as leaders in the Rainbow, Brownie and Guide sections so please let us know if yu need any hep with anything to do with the programme. Caroline was a Brownie and Guide before becoming a leader, and Sarah was a Brownie, Guide, Ranger and Young Leader.

Division Compliance Adviser and Division Residential Adviser: Fiona Manzoor

My name is Fiona Manzoor and I have been involved in Girlguiding since joining as a Rainbow. I have volunteered in Huddersfield Ramsden Division for the last 10 years. I hold 2 roles in the Division:

  • As Division Compliance Adviser, I am responsible for ensuring that new and existing volunteers have their DBS checks and re checks completed, so I get to meet most volunteers across the division! I also make sure that volunteers complete safe space training, and am on hand to help with any queries about the Girlguiding database, Go. Please do get in touch if I can support you with any queries in this area.
  • My role as Division Residential Adviser is to advise and motivate volunteers to be able to take their units away with Girlguiding, be it on a sleepover, an indoor residential or a camp. As part of that I support the division commissioner by reviewing risk assessments and the relevant forms submitted for these events. If you would like to take your girls away, or are planning a holiday or camp please do get in touch.
